At Tuedion we build secure, high-performance and sustainable server infrastructure for websites, business applications, SaaS platforms and the digital services we provide to our clients.
We are looking for a System and Server Administrator to take over the management of our servers, with strong hands-on experience in Linux, the Cloudflare ecosystem, Amazon Web Services (AWS), hosting control panels, security, backup and monitoring.
In this role you will run more than daily server operations: you will also improve the infrastructure, raise security, integrate services, automate processes and prevent outages.
What you’ll do in this role
Linux and server management
- Install, configure, update and maintain Linux servers.
- Manage VPS, VDS, cloud and physical server infrastructure.
- Carry out advanced server administration, security configuration and troubleshooting over SSH.
- Analyse and optimise CPU, RAM, disk, I/O, network and service performance.
- Move websites, databases and applications between servers.
- Manage PHP, Redis, databases, cron and background services.
Cloudflare and CDN
- Configure Cloudflare DNS, CDN, SSL/TLS, WAF, DDoS protection and Cache Rules.
- Install Cloudflare Tunnel (cloudflared) on servers and set up and manage secure connections.
- Configure Cloudflare Zero Trust and Access policies.
- Set up buckets, access keys, permissions and file storage on Cloudflare R2.
- Integrate R2 with web applications, backup systems and file delivery.
- Optimise CDN caching, content delivery, security and performance policies.
- Analyse and fix access, SSL, DNS, cache and connection issues related to Cloudflare.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) and backup
- Build secure, automated backups on AWS S3.
- Configure CDN and content delivery with AWS CloudFront.
- Manage IAM users, access permissions and security policies.
- Configure versioning, retention policies and data lifecycle rules for backups.
- Transfer server, website and database backups securely to remote storage.
- Run regular backup verification and restore tests.
- Improve disaster recovery and business continuity against data loss.
Hosting panels and web services
- Install, configure and manage cPanel/WHM, Plesk and similar hosting control panels.
- Manage and optimise Apache, Nginx and LiteSpeed web servers.
- Configure PHP versions, PHP-FPM, PHP extensions and application environments.
- Manage MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL database services.
- Manage DNS, nameserver, SSL/TLS and e-mail service configurations.
- Configure SMTP, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records.
System and network security
- Manage SSH access, key-based authentication and user permissions securely.
- Configure firewalls, Fail2Ban, WAF and access control systems.
- Harden servers.
- Apply security updates and critical patches in a controlled way.
- Investigate unauthorised access attempts, suspicious traffic and security incidents.
- Analyse system and service logs to remove security risks.
Monitoring and operational continuity
- Build server and service monitoring with Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Uptime Kuma or similar tools.
- Monitor uptime, CPU, RAM, disk, network traffic, SSL validity and service status.
- Set up automatic alerts by e-mail, webhook or similar channels for critical events.
- Find the root cause of outages and build lasting fixes.
- Write Bash/Shell scripts for automated maintenance, backups and checks.
- Document infrastructure changes, technical procedures and the system inventory regularly.
Required qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional Linux system administration experience.
- Advanced administration skills on Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux.
- Advanced SSH skills: command line, key management, access security, service configuration, log analysis and remote troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience managing Cloudflare DNS, CDN, SSL/TLS and WAF.
- Experience setting up Cloudflare Tunnel, configuring cloudflared and publishing services securely.
- Experience with Cloudflare R2 setup, bucket management, access permissions and application integrations.
- Experience configuring automated backups and data retention on AWS S3.
- Hands-on experience with AWS CloudFront or an equivalent AWS CDN setup.
- Experience installing and managing cPanel/WHM or Plesk.
- Able to configure Apache, Nginx or LiteSpeed web servers.
- A solid grasp of firewalls, SSH hardening, SSL/TLS and basic network security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS and core network protocols.
- Experience with monitoring tools, alerting and incident response.
- Able to carry out backup, restore and disaster recovery procedures.
- Effective with Bash/Shell scripting and Linux terminal tools.
- Able to analyse technical problems independently and build lasting solutions.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Docker, Docker Compose and container technologies.
- Experience with Proxmox, VMware or KVM virtualisation.
- Able to use infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- A good understanding of the server needs of Laravel, WordPress and PHP applications.
- Experience with Redis, Supervisor, queue workers and CI/CD systems.
- Able to build automation with the Cloudflare API and AWS CLI.
- Experience with multi-server management, load balancing and high-availability architectures.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, KVKK and data security processes.
- Comfortable reading technical documentation in English.
